As part of the Ross Valley School District's modernization program, murakami/Nelson developed conceptual designs for additions to Manor and Wade Thomas Elementary Schools. Even though the projects did not proceed as envisioned, due to changes in the program requirements and budget limitations, the design process provided a framework for the School District to reassess how each school was being used and how to best integrate the new classrooms.
